Our recommendations for your holiday in South Tyrol

Mountain hiking or shopping? Are you a nature lover, but also like to discover cities, boutiques and museums? Then our Apartment House MySpring in Foiana near Merano is just right for you! From your holiday apartment you step directly into the ‘Waalweg’ of Foiana, in a few minutes you reach the wood and other hiking trails. The spa town of Merano and the provincial capital of Bolzano are only a 20-minutes drive away. How good, that holidays in South Tyrol can be both: City & countryside!

Eat & Drink

  • 10 am
Follow the scent of sandwiches and coffee - then you will surely find the bakery-cafe MeinBeck in Lana.
  • 2 – 5 pm
If in the afternoon you are in the mood for ice cream & cake or ice cream cake (yes, there is that too!!), we recommend a stop at the Inge pastry shop in Lana.
  • 5 – 12 pm
For an evening (or morning) aperitif (you're on holiday after all), you can stop off at ‘Weinladele’ or ‘KULT’. Beef tartare that melts in your mouth is served at Castle Rametz in Maia Alta near Merano, and homemade and seasonal products at ‘Reichhalter’ in Lana. At the trendy ‘Philiaz’ on Lake Caldaro are served Asian-influenced dishes, followed by drinks & beats. Would you like another little glass of grappa? The fabulous Williams is produced right nearby: The ‘Pircher’ distillery is the right place!

Would you rather enjoy at home? ‘By Hidalgo’ delivers delicious classic dishes straight to your door, in a simple and uncomplicated way.

Hike & Bike

Lana's traffic-free local mountain, the Mount San Vigilio hiking area, can be reached by cable car and is wonderfully peaceful in both summer and winter. The wooded nearby Ultimo Valley is one of the most unspoilt valleys in South Tyrol, with beautiful lakes and rewarding mountain hikes. A classic among the Non Valley's peaks is the ascent of Monte Luco (2,434 m) from the Palade Pass. The Palade bunker, one of the largest bunker installations in South Tyrol, is worth seeing. Shortly after the Palade Pass is the village of S. Felice with the Lake Santa Maria or Lake Tret. The lake is located in the middle of the wood and is perfect for a day trip with children.

Numerous hiking trails are also popular cycling routes - for example the tour to Mount Marlengo or the San Vigilio Pass. The ‘Bikeacademy’ Lana plans and accompanies MTB tours. Highlight for racing cyclists: the trip to the Palade Pass. All those who still have some energy left can continue to the Mendola Pass.

Relax & Enjoy

The best choice for a day in the spa are the Merano Thermal Baths. On warm days we recommend the beautifully situated and never overcrowded Lido di Tesimo, the lakes of Caldaro and Monticolo. Only two kilometres from the MySpring Panoramic Suites are the Narano Lake and the little church of St. Hippolytus - a mystical prehistoric site with a fantastic view.

Relaxed and sustainable shopping is possible in the centre of Lana at ‘Feines’, the Family Nature Store. Elegant and exclusive are the clothes in the ‘Boutique Kathinka’ under the Merano arcades - if you love Italian fashion, you will surely find what you are looking for there. ‘Sportler’ in Merano and ‘Sport Impuls’ in Lana will equip you for your next mountain adventure, the ‘Bike boutique SS38’ for the tour over the Palade Pass. Precious jewellery can be found at the ‘Tiroler Goldschmied’ in Scena and Tirolo, delicious food for those who stayed at home at ‘PUR Südtirol’ in Corso Libertà in Merano.
